Nut + Chocolate Covered Bananas with Drizzled Peanut Butter Recipe
A dessert that is perfect any time of year.
This is a delightful health-supportive frozen treat. You can use almond butter if you prefer and instead of chopped nuts, you can swap that for shredded coconut .
Tips: I use “Trader Joe's” creamy peanut butter and a high-quality organic dark chocolate for the best results.
Nut + Chocolate Covered Bananas with Drizzled Peanut Butter Recipe:
Yield: 12-16 bites
Ingredients:
2 organic bananas, sliced into 1-inch pieces
1 dark chocolate bar
1 tsp coconut oil
1 cup chopped nuts of your choice
Sea salt for sprinkling
¼ cup creamy peanut butter
Instructions:
1. Line a baking sheet with wax paper.
2. In a saucepan, melt chocolate on low heat with coconut oil, stirring frequently. Set aside.
3. Dip banana pieces into melted chocolate, one side only, and place chocolate side up. Sprinkle with nuts and sea salt.
4. Freeze for 1-2 hours. Once the chocolate has hardened in the freezer, drizzle melted peanut butter over the bananas using a fork. Place back into the freezer and then serve frozen.
